2024 Sun Belt Conference Basketball Tournaments

⚔ Once again Pensacola will be welcoming the Sun Belt Conference Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournaments to the Gulf Coast. As usual Troy Athletics has a few activities planned for Trojan Nation during their stay in Pensacola. More from Troy Athletics below:


After a jam-packed season for men’s and women’s basketball, both teams head to battle in the Bay Center in Pensacola, Fla., for their respective Sun Belt Conference Basketball Tournaments. The women’s team begins its title hopes on Friday, March 8, at 7:30 p.m., while the men open on Saturday, March 9, at 5 p.m.The women enter as the No. 2 seed for the first time in program history, securing an eighth straight year as a top-four seed in the SBC, while the men ride a third straight 20-plus win season as the No. 3 seed. Both teams earned a double-bye into the quarterfinals.

Troy fans have the unique opportunity to head to Pensacola and cheer on both teams with numerous fan events. Once again, the Troy Fan Headquarters is scheduled for Friday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at O’Riley’s Irish Pub Downtown, located at 321 S. Palafox St. The fun continues into Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. with the Basketball Social hosted by Troy University Alumni Association at The Fish House (600 S. Barracks St.). Fans have access to a limited menu that’s available to purchase, along with heavy hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar.

On Friday, the women battle the winner of a No. 7 /10 seed battle between Louisiana and Arkansas State and continue Sunday, March 10, at 2 p.m. in the semifinals with a victory. Meanwhile, the men await two games as the winner of game one (No. 11 Texas State / No. 14 Old Dominion) takes on No. 6 seed Southern Miss before meeting them – play on Sunday, March 10, at 7:30 p.m. with a win.Troy fans can purchase discounted all-session tickets to the Sun Belt Tournament by visiting TroyTrojans.com/sbctickets.
